It's official! We're going to Midwest Haunters Convention in 2012! June 8-10, weekend seminar passes are $85 when purchased online, this covers all seminars (classes) for the entire weekend, there is a $5 fee for the trade show floor pass for the entire weekend (over 75 vendors), and the Masquerade Party $35 with the purchase of the Weekend Seminars ( a must! a great time- the masquerade party i...ncludes Hors d’ ovres, DJ w/dance floor, miss midwest scary pageant, scariest character contest, body art contests & entertainment), a total of = $125 for all 3.

There will also be a Haunt tour, info. has not been posted on this yet.
We have 4 additional rooms reserved @ the special convention rate of $114 a night, members, please let us know if you are interested in going with us!

After the Holidays we will be sending a reminder of this to everyone!

2011 Schedule


* Haunted Bus Trip to Omaha
October 27th, Bus leaves @ 5:30pm

Risen once again from the dead, the Haunted Bus Trip has returned for 2011 ! For those of you that haven't had the chance to go on one of these, the bus trip is a lot of fun and a great way to meet new friends. We will charter a bus to travel up to Omaha and visit 3 Haunted Attractions (At a discounted group rate).
This event is open to anyone who would like to participate in this fun seasonal event. You MUST be 21 years old or over to attend this event as everyone is allowed to bring their own beverage. Spread the word to your friends, co-workers and family who would enjoy a road trip to have some haunted fun and get the Halloween Spirit awakened.

You get the bus ride up to omaha and back plus your admission cost to 3 Haunted Attractions all for $45.00!

We will be giving away prizes on the bus!
Everyone will meet at the departure location, (location being finalized - will be announced soon!), the bus will leave the parking lot at 5:30pm so plan accordingly to be on the bus before hand as the bus will not wait.
We will be returning approximately at midnight.

* Special Effects Make-Up Make n' Take
September 10th
Buy your Make-up kits for the September 10th Make n' Take! Each kit will include "injury" make-up stack, liquid latex, rigid collodion, "good quality" blood, stipple sponge, other sponges, applicators and other goodies to make great wounds! Yours to keep!

HURRY! The DEADLINE to purchase your kit(s) is Thursday, August 25th.

We will be traveling to Kansas City Missouri Saturday to visit The Beast and The Edge of Hell Haunted Houses.
We will be staying overnight at a hotel Saturday night and heading back home sunday.

Everyone needs to bring their own lawn chair!
We will be having a "how to demo" (see schedule above) and the fire pit will be crackling!
And of course the back yard will be properly decorated for the occasion!

Masonry: Tips, Tricks and Techniques

April 24th 2010
Cost: $10.00 (material and tutorial fee)
This make n' take will be on Masonry.
Address and Time to be announced.
Each person will learn hands on different techniques to create different realistic looking brick and stone finishes out of styrofoam. You can then use the techniques learned and apply them to making walls, entrances, podeums, tombstones and many other props.

September Meeting
Will be September 13th!
Hope everyone has had a great summer! Now that school has started fall is right around the corner!
We have several important events coming up,
IE the Halloween prop builders workshop (through SCC), the haunted bus trip (you can now register on line @ www.fearcrafters.com/calendarofevents.html ), the Fear Crafters kick off party, & other club promotional events are being planned.
We have decided that we needed to have a short club meeting to discuss these with the club members, as a result we have decided to have a meeting on September 13th. This is a Sunday in hopes that most of you will be able to attend. Meeting time will be 6:30 pm, and will be approx 1 hr.
Please bring your lawn chairs as the meeting is at our house (if you need our address send us and email info@fearcrafters.com !) in the backyard. We will have the fire pit going and will provide pop and water.

Lincoln's Zombie Walk
October 10th
Dress up as a zombie and walk through several areas of downtown Lincoln or mark yourself to become a zombie victim to be attacked along the path! A great time and lots of fun!
You can arrive already in costume or come down to the meeting place at 3:30 pm to get your make-up done for you.
Start time of the zombie walk is 7:30 pm you must be present at 7:00 pm for instructions and pre-walk prep talk!

Halloween Prop Builders Workshop again
through Southeast Community College!
*Please Note* This class is quickly filling almost 1/2 full already! If interested don't delay in registering!

As the leaves begin to fall and you feel a chill in the air, thoughts of autumn approach. Soon, ghosts, goblins and witches will walk into the night, it is Halloween! This fun, informative class will help you get ready for the holiday. You will learn how to make realistic, quality props using many supplies that can be found locally. You will produce your own custom props in class and have step-by-step instructions to make others on your own time. Choose from several projects, such as learning how to make a realistic ground breaker corpse, tombstones (this is the one that started it all), a life-size static prop using PVC and others.
Register soon. Class has limited space.
Additional material fees will apply and are due the first night of class. Amounts will range between $20-$85 and will vary depending on projects chosen.

Classes will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning Sepember 22nd thru October 13th.

3rd annual "garage sale"


Hours: Friday - 4pm-8pm, Saturday - 9am-7pm, Sunday - noon-6pm
Custom made props, decorations, music, sound fx cd's, prop making supplies
and other ghoulish delights to celebrate the holiday with.


Starting September 30th 2008
Halloween Prop Builders Workshop Class -

This fun and informative hands on workshop shows how to make good, realistic, props and decorations from materials usually found locally. Several projects will be offered to choose from including, techniques and applications of a monster mud static prop, corpsing a $20.00 blow mold skeleton, producing a realistic tombstone, and others.
Class starts September 30.
You must pre-register before Sept. 30th
Every Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30pm-8:30pm.
Six class sessions in all.
Classes will be held at Irving Rec. Center.
