If interested don't delay in registering! 2nd Annual Fear Crafters "Kick Off" Party! Will be October 10th! Start time: 5:00 pm Schedule of events: 5:00 pm - Meet & Greet, Food & Beverages (BBQ pork sandwiches, side dishes & beverages) 6:00 pm - How to Demo (Resurrected Pumpkin - how to modify a store bought light up pumpkin into your own unique carving) We will also be giving hand outs on how to create bruises, cuts/gashes, and how to apply and blend in a latex appliance. 7:00 pm until ? - Fear Crafters Haunt Club information & socializing These times are approx. We will be having a drawings for our "Members" for a various prizes. We will also be having a drawing for Guests/Non-Members for a FREE one year membership! Once again Brad and I will be hosting the Fear Crafters "Kick Off" party! A fun and relaxing event open to our members and anyone who likes Halloween and may be interested in Fear Crafters! This is a great opportunity for anyone who likes to decorate for Halloween, has a yard display, home haunt, Halloween party or other Halloween events, to socialize with others who share the same interests and hobby, learn what the Fear Crafters Club is about and the fun "events" they can become a part of, and to just have some fun! Everyone needs to bring their own lawn chair! We will be having a "how to demo" (see schedule above) and the fire pit will be crackling! And of course the back yard will be properly decorated for the occasion! If you are interested in attending this event, please email us to let us know how many will be coming (to make sure we prepare enough food) and to recieve the events address at info@fearcrafters.com September Meeting Will be September 13th! Hope everyone has had a great summer! Now that school has started fall is right around the corner! We have several important events coming up, IE the Halloween prop builders workshop (through SCC), the haunted bus trip (you can now register on line @ www.fearcrafters.com/calendarofevents.html ), the Fear Crafters kick off party, & other club promotional events are being planned. We have decided that we needed to have a short club meeting to discuss these with the club members, as a result we have decided to have a meeting on September 13th. This is a Sunday in hopes that most of you will be able to attend. Meeting time will be 6:30 pm, and will be approx 1 hr. Please bring your lawn chairs as the meeting is at our house (if you need our address send us and email info@fearcrafters.com !) in the backyard. We will have the fire pit going and will provide pop and water. Please R.S.V.P asap via email! Lincoln's Zombie Walk October 10th Dress up as a zombie and walk through several areas of downtown Lincoln or mark yourself to become a zombie victim to be attacked along the path! A great time and lots of fun! You can arrive already in costume or come down to the meeting place at 3:30 pm to get your make-up done for you. Start time of the zombie walk is 7:30 pm you must be present at 7:00 pm for instructions and pre-walk prep talk! the air, thoughts of autumn approach. Soon,
ghosts, goblins and witches will walk into the
night, it is Halloween! This fun, informative
class will help you get ready for the holiday.
You will learn how to make realistic, quality
props using many supplies that can be found
locally. You will produce your own custom props
in class and have step-by-step instructions to
make others on your own time. Choose from several projects, such as
learning how to make a realistic ground breaker corpse, tombstones (this is
the one that started it all), a life-size static prop using PVC and others.Register soon. Class has limited space. Additional material fees will apply and are due the first night of class. Amounts will range between $20-$85 and will vary depending on projects chosen. Starting September 30th 2008 Halloween Prop Builders Workshop Class - This fun and informative hands on workshop shows how to make good, realistic, props and decorations from materials usually found locally. Several projects will be offered to choose from including, techniques and applications of a monster mud static prop, corpsing a $20.00 blow mold skeleton, producing a realistic tombstone, and others. Class starts September 30. You must pre-register before Sept. 30th Every Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30pm-8:30pm. Six class sessions in all. Classes will be held at Irving Rec. Center.
